Delivery, cancellation, refund, dispute, and support procedures for project-based software engineering. Last updated 1 August 2026.
8472 Research does not sell access to 8472 BTC or 8472 Alpha and does not offer a bot-access subscription. Each customer project is quoted individually, and all quotes and invoices are denominated in USD. Before payment is requested, the customer receives a written proposal describing the separate custom deliverables, price, payment schedule, expected timeline, customer responsibilities, and acceptance criteria.
The current service model has no automatic subscription or renewal. Optional maintenance or support is charged only when it is separately described and accepted in writing. A completed project does not renew automatically and does not create an ongoing payment obligation.
Services and deliverables are digital; no physical goods are shipped. Delivery may include source code or configured software as stated in the proposal, configuration files, architecture or operating documentation, deployment assistance, test evidence, and a handover session. The proposal states the intended delivery method and milestone sequence.
Delivery estimates begin when the proposal is accepted, any required initial payment is received, and the customer supplies the access, information, and decisions identified as dependencies. If a customer or third-party dependency is delayed or changed, the delivery schedule may be adjusted in writing.
Each milestone is reviewed against the written acceptance criteria. Customers should report a material failure to meet those criteria promptly and with enough detail to reproduce the issue. 8472 Research will investigate and, where the issue is within the agreed scope, correct or reperform the affected work within a reasonable cure period.
A customer may request cancellation by emailing inquiry@8472research.com. If cancellation is received before work begins, prepaid project fees are refundable in full. After work begins, the customer is responsible for work completed through the effective cancellation date and for agreed, non-cancellable third-party commitments. Any remaining unused prepaid amount is refundable unless the accepted proposal provides a different lawful arrangement.
If an agreed deliverable materially fails its written acceptance criteria and 8472 Research cannot correct or reperform the affected work within a reasonable cure period, the customer may request a refund of fees paid for the affected, undelivered milestone. A change of preference, use outside the agreed scope, failure of a customer-controlled system, or failure of a third-party service does not by itself make completed and accepted work refundable.
Send the project reference, payment date, amount, and reason for the request to inquiry@8472research.com. Receipt will normally be acknowledged within two business days and the request reviewed within five business days. If approved, the refund will be issued to the original payment method within ten business days. A bank or card provider may require additional time to post the credit.
8472 Research may decline or end work if required access is unsafe or unlawful, invoices remain unpaid, the requested purpose materially changes, cooperation needed for delivery is not provided, or continued work would fall outside the disclosed technical service boundaries. If 8472 Research ends a project without customer breach, unused prepaid fees for undelivered work will be refunded.
For an unrecognized charge, billing concern, or delivery dispute, contact inquiry@8472research.com before initiating a chargeback so the records can be reviewed promptly. Include the invoice or payment reference and a concise description of the issue. This request does not limit any non-waivable consumer right.
Support during development and any post-delivery support window are defined in the proposal. Ongoing monitoring, maintenance, hosting, production operation, or emergency response is not included unless expressly stated. Customers retain responsibility for their production environment, accounts, credentials, funds, and operating decisions.
Questions about a quote, active project, cancellation, refund, dispute, or support request may be sent to inquiry@8472research.com or submitted through the project inquiry form.
